On September 13, 2025, the rugged beauty of Killary Harbour in County Galway set the stage for the Gaelforce Great Fjord Swim, the grand finale of Ireland’s iconic open-water swim trilogy.

Swimmers of all levels; ranging from seasoned athletes to enthusiastic first-timers—took on distances of 750m, 2km, and 3.9km in the crystal-clear waters of Killary Fjord. With the majestic Connemara mountains towering above and the unpredictable Irish weather adding its own challenge, participants were met with a true test of endurance and spirit.
At the finish line, the warmth from the hot whiskey from Micil Distillery awaited, offering a comforting embrace after the invigorating (and challenging!) swim. The atmosphere was electric, filled with live music, camaraderie, and the shared joy of conquering the fjord.
